Research Overview
My research focuses on optics and photonics, particularly the design and optimization of laser cavities for structured beams. Recently, I have been working on metasurfaces optical devices, especially achromatic metalenses. My work is applying new optical elements such as metasurfaces into traditional optical system to improve the performance. The electromagnetic simulation sotfwares (MATLAB, COMSOL) and ray-based optical design sotfwares (OSLO, ZEMAX Optic Studio) are used to simulate and optimizate the system.

Experience
- Postdoctoral Researcher, Applied Optics Laboratory, NCKU — Achromatic metalens design in UV (September 2024–present).
- Study on achromatic metalens design and chromatic aberration correction in the UV regime by applying dispersion engineering of metalenses.
- Using COMSOL Multiphysics and MATLAB to model meta-atom libraries and system-level optical performance.
- Use OSLO to perform ray tracing and optimization through hybrid metalens-refractive lenses optical system.
- Ph.D., Physics, NCKU — Dual‑phase‑modulation digital lasers for structured beams (2020–2024).
- Designed and constructed digital laser cavities integrating intra-cavity spatial light modulators (SLMs).
- 2. Generated and experimentally validated structured beams: vortex and vortex arrays, nondiffracting beams.
- Developed MATLAB codes for mode simulations, digital holography beam analysis, and mode purity measurement.
